This Privacy Policy explains how Vaaro ("Vaaro", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Vaaro mobile app to find work or hire skilled workers. By using Vaaro, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

Account information — name, phone number, email address, and profile details you provide when creating an account.
Google sign-in — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create and secure your account.
Profile information — skills, work history, photos, and other details you add to your worker or hiring profile.
Location — approximate or precise location, used to show nearby jobs or workers and to help coordinate in-person work.
Mobile number & contact unlock — your phone number is stored with your account but kept private from other users. It is only shared with the other party once a job application is accepted and confirmed, so early conversations stay safe and in-app.
Notifications — a device push token so we can send job, application, and chat alerts.
Chat messages — messages exchanged with other users through in-app chat once a job is confirmed.
Wallet and referrals — transaction history, escrow-related job payments, and referral codes used or shared within the app.

How we use your information

To create and maintain your Vaaro account.
To match jobs with workers and show relevant listings.
To enable communication between providers and workers once a job is confirmed.
To process wallet balances, escrow holds, and referral bonuses.
To send you notifications about jobs, applications, and chat.
To keep the platform safe and prevent fraud or abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited profile details (such as name, rating, and relevant skills) with the other party once a job application is accepted, so both sides can coordinate the work. We may share information with service providers who help us run the app (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and push notification services), and when required by law.

Your choices

You can update your profile information, manage notification preferences, and request account deletion from within the app or by contacting support. Location access can be controlled from your device settings.

Data retention

We retain account and transaction information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements.
